Geometric Town The new Prime Minister hates curves, and has commissioned a new Geometric Town to be built. Students must sketch a house to be included in this new town on the following conditions: 1) The house must be made of polygons only. 2) The hosue must contain at least 4 different types of polygons. 3) The measurements of every angle inside the house must be written down. 4) Students will choose 2 polygons from the house, and on a separate sheet of paper, they will describe at least 3 different attributes of the polygon eg: identify if it is a regular/irregular polygon, concave/convex polygon, how many equal sides/angles the shape contains, if the shape is a triangle, the type of triangle, etc. Rubric Code: MXX247 By Karishma Draft Public Rubric Subject: Math Type: Project Grade Levels: 6-8

LEVEL 3 All angles inside the house have been marked using an arc, and only two angles have been measured incorrectly.	LEVEL 4 Every angle inside the house has been denoted by an arc, and every angle has been measured correctly.
VARIETY OF POLYGONS	LEVEL 1 Student has used one polygon repeatedly with some variations.	LEVEL 2 Student has used 2 types of polygons repeatedly.	LEVEL 3 Student has used 4 different polygons.	LEVEL 4 Student has experimented creatively with more than 4 types of polygons.
EDITING	LEVEL 1 Student has not referred to the guidelines and instructions that accompanied the assignment to review work.	LEVEL 2 Untidy work and a few repeated errors.	LEVEL 3 Student has made revisions to the assignment in accordance with assignment guidelines.	LEVEL 4 Student has edited work to ensure legible writing and neat presentation.
