Newspaper Book Report

Make a newspaper about the book or set in the same city as the book’s main setting. Include at least five parts of a newspaper: comics, advertisements, weather, news stories, feature stories, letters to the editor, obituaries, editorials, sports, etc.

Features	Excellent All five features cover the required components and go beyond expectations with proper elaboration and organization.	Good Five features are covered with the main detail required for each section.	Fair Four out of the five features are covered in the paper, details are not clear or nealy done.	Poor Three or less features are completed.
Comics	Excellent All necessary information was presented logically and recorded properly. Not only does each panel have a picture but also a caption. There is a well developed story line.	Good Necessary information was covered logically and recorded properly. Some information is missing or the panels do not flow together.	Fair Some importance is evident, but not in a logical order. Pictures may be missing or captions may not be included.	Poor Significant information is missing, or not recorded properly.
Weather	Excellent Weather is explained relating to a specific event and is layed out in standard newspaper form...weekly, daily, temps, rain/snow,etc.	Good Weather is explained, but does nt connect to events in the text and is layed out in standard newspaper format. Or Weather is explained and connected to text, but does not follow format.	Fair Weather is not explained or tied to the text, but is in proper format	Poor Weather isnot explained or in proper format
Sports	Excellent YOu may only have a sports section if your main character plays a sport or a major event occurs at a sport event Includes details of scores and team stats.
