Sophocles Composition
Write a short analysis of a Sophoclean character. In one paragraph, explain the connection between criticism and disloyalty. Then, discuss how a character’s relationship to others, or his motivation, or his influence, or his conflict reveals his reaction to criticism. Use evidence to support the explanation. In the next section of your essay, extend this element of the character and show when that criticism turns to disloyalty. You may explain something that has happened with the character using your above analysis. Then, discuss what is the critical breaking point between criticism and disloyalty. When does criticism turn to disloyalty? Consider concluding your essay with remarks about this in universal terms.
