	Poor 20 pts	Good 30 pts	Excellent 50 pts
Identifies Text Features	Poor Student only identifies a few text features.	Good Student identifies half of the text features.	Excellent Student identifies all of the text features.
Determining Meaning of Clues	Poor Student is not able to determine what clues the text features offer to help them understand what they are reading.	Good Student is able to determine some of the clues that the text features give to help them understand the meaning of what they are reading	Excellent Student is able to determine what all of the clues that the text features give in order for them understand the meaning of what they are reading.
Answers Questions	Poor Student is unable to answer questions in a coherent manner.	Good Students gives partial answers to questions. Sentence structure is not clear. Coherency is not clear.	Excellent Student answers all of the questions in a clear and coherent manner.
