Portrayal of gods or goddesses

Preparedness
Poor
Although the student may have practiced, the student fidgeted, appeared quite nervous, and/or had little eye contact with the audience. Few, if any, gestures and facial expressions were made while performing. Read presentation from notes.
Fair
Student may have been slightly nervous but still established eye contact. The student may, or may not, have gesture or facial expressions but seemed to have practiced and planned ahead. May have relied a bit too heavily on notes.
Good
Student was well-prepared, was relaxed, and established eye contact with audience. Occasionally student gestured and showed expression while speaking. It was obvious from the ease of the performance that the student had practice and prepared.
Overall Presentation
Poor
Spoke less than two minutes.
Presentation may have been informative but it lacked creativity and imagination and/or did not capture the attention of the audience.
Fair
Spoke fluently for more than five minutes.
Presentation showed some creativity and had moments that were engaging. Student incorporated music, technology, film, etc. but it may have been distracting or poorly executed. The audience enjoyed the presentation.
Good
Spoke fluently between 2-5 minutes.
Presentation was engaging, creative and insightful. Student incorporated music, technology, film, etc. Audience was deeply engaged and eager to follow the performance. They responded enthusiastically.
Voice and Fluency
Poor
Monotone or inappropriate variation of vocal characteristics. No imagination in voice or inconsistent with verbal message. Excessive fluency errors interfered with message comprehension.
Fair
Limited variation of vocal characteristics. Use of rate, pitch, volume and tone seemed inconsistent at times or some inflection, but not imaginative in delivery. Few noticeable errors in pronunciation, enunciation and articulation.
Good
Natural variation of vocal characteristics (rate, pitch, volume, tone) in Standard English to heighten interest and match message. Very imaginative. Proper inflection that demonstrates the personality of the character. Appropriate pronunciation, enunciation and articulation.
