Animal Report Animal Report Students are selecting an animal, researching and creating a 8 1/2 X 11" poster about their animal. This is part one. There will be a presentation that should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and why they choose the animal. Students may write their report notes on index cards, or use their posters to help them remember the important facts about their animal during their presentation. Animal Oral Report
	Beginning 1 pts	Developing 2 pts	Secure 3 pts
About The Animal The explanation of the Scientific Name is Required.	Beginning Does not tell any facts about the animal.	Developing Tells only a few facts ( 3-4 ) about the animal.	Secure Tells many facts ( 5-6) about the animal <BR> ( classification, food source, adaptations, description of animal, defences, enemies).
Where The Animal Lives ( habitat )	Beginning Gives little or no details about where the animal is found and includes very few facts about the animals habitiat.	Developing Gives some details about where the animal is found in the world,but only includes some facts about the animals habitat.	Secure Gives details about where in the world the animal is found, and tells many facts about it's habitat.
Animal Poster	Beginning No pictures, or pictures are too small to see, many of the important facts are not included on the poster.	Developing Pictures are okay, somewhat clearly labeled, and most of the important facts are included on the poster.	Secure Pictures are large enough to see clearly and are labeled, it has a visible title, and all the important facts are included on the poster.
