Evaluation of design

The student will design and build a model of a green city.

The students will put together a poster to show during a gallery walk. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to their assigned Pollution Incident,

Student will demonstrate knowledge of the directional terms by creating a song or rap and presenting it to the class. Presentations can be either presented via wevideo OR in-class presentation. Each person in the group must have the same number of lines.

Students will create an original video to explain the steps of Mitosis and Meiosis, compare these processes, and then create a video.

Students are to read articles on their hero, then identify who the person is, what did they accomplish, and what goals did they set and follow to reach their accomplishments. Must list a minimum of 3 goals and the steps taken to achieve them.

After setting 2014-2015 academic and behavior goals, students will set goals for their future. They will draw, cut out or print pictures that display their future job, house, car, pet, and impact on the world.

Students will demonstrate knowledge on smoking/vaping use by developing a add or poster designed to explain the dangers of smoking or vaping. Any copy/paste or plagiarism will result in a ZERO. Cite all photos, or graphics used.At least one photo must be your own.

Students will do a current self-assessment of their overall health, including their physical, mental/emotional, and social health. Students will critique their triangle. Discuss your wellness in each area explaining what why you are at that level of wellness. Include a goal to improve yourself in each area. Part 1 -a written, in essay form (3 paragraph minimum), Part 2- a "triangle" visual. The visual should represent YOU, it may have words, pictures, etc to demonstrate your health.

Pick either physical(Structural), physiological or behavior adaptation and draw a picture representing that particular adaptation. You MUST also write a description or caption about your picture.

Create two cartoons of Succession. One for Primary succession and one for Secondary Succession. (Bonus: Use a Biome drawn from the hat and choose a natural disaster that best fits your location for "Extra Credit" points.)

Create a board game that reflects aspects of Life after High School. Your board game can be based on one that is already in existence such as Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit. The final project should include all required aspects and be a true representation the "real world".

Students are selecting an animal, researching and creating a 8 1/2 X 11" poster about their animal. This is part one. There will be a presentation that should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and why they choose the animal. Students may write their report notes on index cards, or use their posters to help them remember the important facts about their animal during their presentation.

Students must create a poster that models or diagrams the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration and how they are interdependent on each other. All steps should be labeled correctly.

Create a flyer one would find in a bathroom stall at a club. It should be informative, interesting and persuasive to YOUR age group. It should inform about the dangers of drinking, how to be smart, effects and where to get help. Include a section to help the stall occupant to successfully refuse drinking, and maintain meaningful friendships. The refusals should be something fun, smart and believable that someone could go back to the party and use & remain friends.

The student will choose a location and predict what would happen if people were no longer here. How would the ecosystem change and adapt? Focus on keystone species, invasive species, succession and population growth. Use the following inquiry question to help guide your paper. 1. Pick a location – city, ecosystem, state, etc.. 2. Which organisms do you think will survive and flourish? Which will die out? 3. What will their population growth look like? (TIME) 4. What type of succession would you see? Describe the process. Will it become a different ecosystem? 5. What would be your keystone species? Why? 6. Are there any invasive species that will now have a greater impact on your ecosystem? How and Why?

Students must write a one page research paper about the assigned diet. Students will then create a 3-5 min. persuasive presentation, discussing the main topics and facts of their paper.

Students work in groups to write and perform a skit about decision making and "life skills" The skit must contain 2 scenes: a situation where a poor decision was made and the same situation where a better decision is made. Choices must be clear. A narrator may be used. All members of the groups must have at least 2 complete lines.
