Reflection Paper Rubric 
A good reflection... 1. Is honest. 2. Answers the questions or responds to the statements. 3. Contains examples and details to support opinions and thoughts. 4. Helps the person who wrote it understand him/herself better. 5. Informs the audience and gives useful information. 6. Shows that the person really thought about the question before writing down a response. 7. Shows personal perspective. 8. Is easily understood by the reader. It is free of spelling mistakes as well as confusing language. 9. Is based on what the person believes or thinks about what is asked. 10. Shows thinking.

Future Implications

Excellent

Clearly demonstrates a willingness to change and learn. Clearly states how the course experience will be used in the student's future career or personal endeavors and how the student will increase his/her competency in areas that need improvement.
Good

Willingnes to change and learn. Discusses without detail how the information in the course will be used in the student's future career or personal endeavors. Discusses the need to increase competency in areas that need improvement without elaboration.
Average

Willingness to change or learn cannot be determined from information presented. Student does not show detail in his/her exploration of use of skills in future endeavors and/or ways to increase competency in areas of need.
Poor

Reflection does not include information that suggests a willingness on the part of the writer to learn or change in any way. Student does not discuss future implications or improvements.
