News Cast Novel Study Rubric 
Choose an event in the story to write a live news cast about. Remember, this is live; almost everything will be in present tense! You can get creative and add details that are not in the novel, however, the overall report should be true the the plot, character, and setting of the book. Please include both a written script and a video presentation of your work.

The reporter appears to have rehearsed and the performance flows smoothly. Eye contact is consistent, reading is limited to glances, and language is clear and professional.

The reporter is not well organized. Appears that they have had minimal rehearsal, reads from notes, eye contact is not consistent, and language could be clearer.

The reporter is very unorganized. The reporter reads the entire story, has limited eye contact, and language is not clear.
Poor

The reporter shows no previous preparation.
