Sound quality	Needs Improvement Student created an instrument that was missing pitch and/or volume.	Good Student created an instrument that made one pitch and one volume.	Well Done Student created an instrument that made only one volume and two pitches OR two volumes and one pitch.	Excellent Student created an instrument that made more than one volume and more than one pitch.
Creativity	Needs Improvement Student showed minimal or no effort in making their instrument look and sound creative.	Good Student made some effort in making their instrument look and sound creative.	Well Done Student made solid effort in making their instrument look and sound creative.	Excellent Student made more than the expected effort in making their instrument look and sound creative.
Oral presentation	Needs Improvement Student presented their instrument and did NOT include more than one of the following: instrument name, pitch or volume, purpose	Good Student presented their instrument and did NOT include one of the following: instrument name, pitch, or volume, nor its purpose.	Well Done Student presented their instrument including: instrument name, pitch and volume, but did NOT highlight its purpose.	Excellent Student presented their instrument including: instrument name, pitch, volume and purpose.
Materials	Needs Improvement Student brought in an actual instrument purchased at a store.	Good Student created an instrument with materials that were not found at home.	Well Done Student created an instrument that had materials mostly found at home.	Excellent Student created an instruments from materials that were ALL found at home.
