STEER Presentation

Students are required to prepare a power point presentation to be delivered on the final day of the course. Each presentation should be 10-15 minutes in length. Each presentation should cover one topic of relevance to environmental public health at the border.

Research	Excellent Evidence that the topic was well researched. Based on information collected: Community Health references, County and State Statistics, Local experts identified and utilized as resources. reliable and up to date sources that are solid and relevant to presentation. Minimum of 4 references for information to support your information.	Good Evidence that some research done. 3 References sited, less reliable and up to date references are provided, although perhaps there could be more or better quality sources found. One local expert identified.	Fair Sources of information used are simple in nature, or from 2 or less websites which provide little or irrelevant information or is out outdated. Little or no input from local experts within the community	Poor All information referenced is available from the assigned readings in the text and little, 1 or less reliable or up to date resources is evidenced. Knowledge	Excellent Demonstrates in depth knowledge about the topic identified. Thorough presentation developed. Collaboration	Excellent A mutually agreed upon work plan was created and this student fulfilled his/her role to the best of his/her abilities. Excellent cooperation and collaboration was evident in presenting thier display. There was no serious conflicts and students were able to share knowledge, experience, and compromise to create an excellent finished product.	Good A mutually agreed upon work plan was created and each student fulilled thier role. The students appeared to cooperate in presenting their display. Any conflicts that arose were resolved with little assistance. A good finished product was created.	Fair A work plan was created but one party is not satisfied, or the balance of work appears to fall on one student over the other. Conflicts required assistance to resolve or an inability to cooperate well was noticeable. Students did not seem to share knowledge or work together to complete thier display.	Poor A work plan was not created or a student did not fulfill the agreement. Conflict was evident between the group members throughout the preparation and/or during the presentation of thier display.
