Portrait with Patterns The composition demonstrates students ability to create an Illusion of volume/form using the elements of Art: Value/ Contrast/ Color. Value is added to the contour drawing using pastels. The composition shows at least 7 values of shading and includes the 5 Principles of Shading: highlight, shade, shadow, reflected light and back shading.
