Civil Rights Interview

Students will conduct an effective and thoughtful interview. Students will record the interview and transcribe (summarize) it. They will also write an analysis based on the information collected from the 3 interviews.

Excellent Student presents a recorded interview. The questions go beyond the minimum number required (5), and they are all connected. Many follow up questions asked.
Summary	Poor Student presents no complete summary of interviews conducted.	Fair Student presents a complete summary of 1 of the required (3) interviews conducted.	Good Students presents a complete summary of 2 of the required (3) interviews conducted.	Excellent Students presents a complete summary of 3 of the required (3) interviews conducted.
Analysis	Poor Student's analysis does not include sufficient details about the interview OR no analysis written.	Fair Student presents an analysis that barely interprets the interviews and/or is not typed. It is also less than one page.	Good Student presents a 1-page typed analysis of the interviews. The analysis illustrate specific things learned about the Civil Rights movement. It is obvious the student learned something from the interview.
