Informational Writing Animal Simple Report Students are selecting an animal, researching and writing about their animal. The report should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and any interesting fun facts about their animal. Students will write their report notes on pre-printed word webs and then write a simple report. Approaching Gives a description of animal but leaves out a couple of important features. Picture is present but not labeled.	Meets Gives an accurate description of how the animal looks, and has a detailed picture with important parts labeled.	Above Gives an accurate description of how the animal looks, and has a detailed picture with important parts labeled, and has pictures.
Animal's Food	Below Does not list any items that the animal eats.	Approaching Lists one item that the animal eats.	Meets Lists two items that the animal eats, and includes pictures on the page.	Above Lists three or more items that the animal eats, and includes pictures on the page.
Animals' Habitat	Below Gives little or no details about where the animal is found and does not include any facts about the animals habitiat.	Approaching Gives some details about where the animal is found in the world,but only includes one facts about the animals habitat.	Meets Gives details about where in the world the animal is found, and tells some facts about it's habitat.	Above Gives many details about where in the world the animal is found, and tells many facts and has pictures of the animals habitat.
