Article Response Every two weeks, you submit an article response. I will use this quick rubric to grade your work.
	Unacceptable 1 pts	Good 2 pts	Excellent 3 pts
At least 100 words A very basic requirement of the response.	Unacceptable < 75 words.	Good 76-99 words	Excellent >100 words
Clearly Referenced The subject of the article is referenced at least once. This does NOT mean a summary of the article.	Unacceptable No, not referenced at all.	Good Yes, referenced once.	Excellent Yay! Referenced two or more times.
Type of Science What type of science is involved?	Unacceptable None mentioned.	Good One type mentioned, but it is not correct.	Excellent One type mentioned correctly and/or accurately.
Learning What did you learn?	Unacceptable Question is not answered.	Good Question is answered; student uses a phrase like "I learned..." or "One thing I learned is..."	Excellent Question is answered creatively; student uses clever and unique way to illuminate learning.
Submission Response is submitted correctly: emailed to teacher & saved with student name and date of submission.	Unacceptable Response is hand-written or printed AND it is not saved correctly.	Good Response is handwritten or printed OR it is not saved correctly.	Excellent Response is emailed as an attachment or typed in body of email AND it is saved correctly.
