Google Slideshow Rubric 
This rubric is meant to help guide you in the creation of your Google Slideshow about literary genres in regards to your effort and the quality of what you produce. Read the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the slideshow, to ensure that all the required parts of your presentation have been included and all other criteria have been met.

All required slides are included (9) with relevant information. All slides have 2 elements of the genre given. Slideshow is reasonably organized.
Below Standard

Fewer than the required slides are included and some are missing information about the elements of the genre.
Poor

Less than 5 slides are included AND/OR slides contain only one element identified for each genre.
Presentation/Graphics

Above Standard

Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. Pictures, graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation. Images of more than 2 books of the particular genre appear on each slide. Title and author's name are given in a text box.
On Standard

Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. More than half of the slides use pictures, graphics and effects to enhance presentation. Slides have images of 2 books per genre. Not all slides name the author and/or title in a text box.
Below Standard

Slides are easy to read, and there's a basic balance of text and pictures on the page. Less than half the slides have images of books for the genre depicted.
Poor

The slides are not easy to read and don't look attractive. There is little use of pictures, graphics or book images.
Spelling and Grammar

Above Standard

Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the presentation. There are no spelling errors and all sentences make sense.
On Standard

There are 1 or 2 spelling errors on the presentation and all sentences make sense. There may be a few mechanical errors with capitalization and punctuation.

Used time well during the class sessions. Focused on getting the presentation completed.
On Standard

Used time well during the class sessions. Usually focused on getting the presentation completed.
Below Standard

Used some of the class sessions well. There was some focus on getting the presentation completed but occasionally distracted.
Poor

Did not use class time to focus on the presentation OR distracted others. Reminders were given to stay on task.
