Quantity The 5 senses are represented in the language presented in the poem.	Very Good Student's poem contains at least three or more examples of the senses.	Good Student's poem contains at least two examples of the senses.	Developing Student's poem contains only one or no examples of the senses.
Content Senses are clear and are used clearly and the emotion is well represented.	Very Good Student has shown understanding clearly by connecting multiple senses with the assigned emotion.	Good Student has clearly connected a sense with the assigned emotion.	Developing Student has shown a small connection between senses and emotion.
Creativity Student's poem uses unique and interesting phrases of figurative language.	Very Good Student shows clear understanding of their creativity by: multiple uses of original phrases, including either a metaphor or simile throughout the poem.	Good Student has clearly shows creativity by their use of at least two phrases including either a metaphor or simile .	Developing Student is just about close to showing creativity by using at least one relevant phrases that includes a metaphor or simile.
