Information on the Cowboy	4- exceeds proficiency The name of the cowboy, picture of the cowboy, was the cowboy born a slave. The students will write a paragraph describing the cowboy.	3-meets proficiency Student is missing 1 of the requirements on the poster.	2-approaching proficiency Student is missing 2 of the requirements on the poster.	1-beginning proficiency Student is missing 3 or more of the requirements on the poster.
Information on Poster	4- exceeds proficiency Includes information on why the cowboy is famous or "wanted", and their accomplishments in your own words. Summary is well written and includes all aspects. Poster is well formed. It is clear the student researched the scientist and understood it.	3-meets proficiency Summary includes all aspects of the cowboy and the description of the poster but one aspect is missing. It is clear the student did research.	2-approaching proficiency Includes a description of some parts of the cowboy. It appears the student did the research, but might not understand it.	1-beginning proficiency Description is too vague. Does not appear the student did any research or understood the work.
