Character Trait Character Trait Students demonstrate knowledge of character traits by creating a graph with traits and assigning characters to the graph then justifying why that character fits in that trait using examples from the novel. Postive Character Trait	Proficient Student is able to identify traits for three characters correctly and justify why they placed characters on their graph.	Good Student is able to identify traits for two characters correctly and justify why they placed the two characters on their graph.	Basic Student is able to identify traits for one characters correctly and justified for one character.
P.C. Actions/Evidence	Proficient Student is able to list some actions that can be attributed to the specific character trait as evidence of the trait. Student is able to do this for each character trait.	Good Student is able to list at least 1-2 actions that can be attributed to the specific character trait as evidence of the trait. Student is able to do this for each character trait.	Basic Student listed at least 1 action that can be attributed to the specific character trait as evidence of the trait. Student is able to do this for each character trait.
Work Effort	Proficient All work is neatly done. Student puts forth major effort into the project. There are no more than 1 spelling errors.	Good Majority of work is neatly done. Students put some effort into the project. There are no more than 2-3 spelling errors.	Basic Some of the work is neatly done. Student has put minimal effort into the project. There are more than 3 spelling errors.
