SETTING	Excellent Pictures/words identify correct SETTING of story.	Good Pictures/words neglects to name important aspects, but includes others.	Average Does not know proper setting terms.	Poor Does not supply setting at all.
CHARACTERS	Excellent Pictures/words identify correct MAIN CHARACTERS of story.	Good Pictures/words does no identify correct MAIN CHARACTERS of story, but includes other characters of minor importance by name.	Average Does not know Main Characters, but can name one other character.	Poor Cannot not name any characters.
PLOT - problem/goal	Excellent Explains the entire plot/ theme of the story.	Good Includes some parts of the plot/ theme.	Average Names one part of the plot/ theme.	Poor No indication of plot/theme.
PLOT - main events	Excellent Pictures/Words include the MAIN EVENTS to solve the problem.	Good Pictures/Words DO NOT include the MAIN EVENTS to solve the problem.	Average	Poor
