CONTENT/IDEA	Poor Writing is extremely limited in communicating knowledge with no central theme named or is just a summary of the story read.	Fair Writing is limited in communicating knowledge. Length is not adequate for development. A theme is attempted though it is not a theme.	Good Writing does not clearly communicate knowledge. The reader is left with questions. A theme is identified but underdeveloped.	Excellen Writing is confident and clearly focused. It holds the reader's attention. A theme is identifited and throughly discussed with examples.
ORGANIZATION	Poor Writing is disorganized and has no structure.	Fair An attempt is made at organization, but does not follow an essay organization. Ideas are not totally grouped together.	Good Writing is organized with an opening, supporting and concluding paragraphs, but paragraphs are weak or transitions do not exist.	Excellen Writing is organized and includes a a strong, beginning, middle, and end with clear transitions.
