Narratives center on an object and each setting creates a unique focus for each of the 3 perpectives. Narrative elements for each of the 3 perspectives engage the reader and each contains orginal and creative elements.
C Satisfactory

Narrative centers on an object and the settings create a somewhat unique focus, although the combination may not be unique or original. Description and narrative elements are ordinary and predictable.
D Deficient

Seemingly random choice of object and setting. Description and narrative elements are poorly described or very general in nature. Content is not well-developed.
Style and word choice

A Exemplary

Narratives use well-placed, clear, and interesting supporting description and/or dialogue to capture the reader's attention. Word choice is vivid and highly effective. Narratives in all three perspectives are extremely well woven.
B Proficient

Narratives use generally effective supporting description and/or dialogue. Most of the diction is vivid and effective, but some parts could be improved on.
Narratives and descriptive elements are generally well-woven.
C Satisfactory

Narratives contain some suppporting description and dialogue, but they tend to be general or predictable. Diction is not vivid. Narratives are awkwardly woven in places.
D Deficient

Narratives contain very general supporting description or dialogue. Diction is confusing, vague, or dull. Narratives seem fragmented or incomplete.
Organization

The sequence of events, placement of image and descriptions of landscape enhance understanding and effect in all 3 perspectives. Author clearly put thought into organization.
B Proficient

The organization is not confusing, but one part may seem out of place or awkward. Author clearly put thought into organization but structure does not flow smoothly through the narrative as a whole.
C Satisfactory

The organization needs smoother flow. Parts seem confusing and overall effect lacks smoothness.
Conclusion may be weak.
D Deficient

The organization makes the paper hard to follow at times. Conclusion may be vaugue or missing.
Conventions

Narratives contain few to no errors in standard grammar, punctuation and spelling. Any non-standard usage is intentional and effective.
B Proficient

Narratives contain some errors in standard grammar, punctuation and/or spelling, but errors do not distract from the work as a whole.
