Elements of Western World	Below Average My ornament lacks all elements of Civics and is not completed.	Average My ornament shows one of the elements of Civics and my lack of planning is evident.	Proficient My ornament shows that I applied two or three elements of Civics that were discussed and applied in class.	Advanced My ornament shows that I uniquely applied all the elements assigned.
Creativity	Below Average My ornament shows little or no evidence of original thought.	Average My ornament lacks sincere originality.	Proficient My ornament demonstrates originality.	Advanced My presentation demonstrates a unique level of originality.
Craftsmanship	Below Average My ornament is messy and fails to meet any of the proper criteria.	Average My ornament is somewhat messy and shows a lack of effort or time.	Proficient My ornament is neat and shows very little evidence of error or missed criteria.	Advanced My ornament is well constructed, and clearly follows the guidelines to meet every level of criteria.
Effort	Below Average I did not finish my ornament in a satisfactory manner.	Average I finished my ornament but it lacks finishing touches or can be improved with little effort.	Proficient I completed my ornament in an above average manner, yet more could have been done.	Advanced I completed my ornament and far exceeded the requirements for the project.
