The facts are not well tied in with the analysis.	Poor Student uses no facts, or mostly incorrect facts.
Analysis - 25 points	Excellent Student provides in-depth analysis and backs it with the facts. Insight shows understanding beyond the lesson and illustrates a clear grasp on the subject matter.	Good Student has strong analysis--names facts and explains importance of events. Insight shows clear understanding of the topic, based on the lesson.	Fair Student has little analysis and does not connect it with the facts. Insight is weak and lacks accuracy.	Poor Students has no analysis. Student demonstrates little understanding, or none at all.
Writing - 25 points	Excellent Student has few punctuation or spelling errors. Writing style excellently aids the understanding of the analysis.	Good Student shows mostly strong punctuation and spelling and writing style adds to assessment.	Fair Student has some punctuation and correct spelling. Writing style is unclear and does not further assessment.	Poor Student has no or little punctuation and shows poor spelling abilities.
