Speed Correct words per minute:	Below Basic -I was too slow most of the time. -I paused in awkward places a lot. -I need to practice a lot more!	Basic -I did okay, but sometimes I slowed down too much. -I had some pauses in awkward places. -I need to practice this more.	Proficient -I used a good, normal pace most of the time. -I used some pauses in good places.	Advanced -I used a good, normal pace the whole time. -If I got faster or slower - I did it on purpose to make the story more interesting!
Accuracy	Below Basic -I had trouble with many words. (Less than 90% accurate) -I needed a lot of help to figure words out.	Basic -I had trouble with some words. (90-94% accurate) -Sometimes I needed help to fix a mistake.	Proficient -I read most of the words correctly (95% accurate) -I fixed most of my mistakes by myself.	Advanced -I read almost all of the words correctly (97% -100%). -If I made a mistake, I fixed it by myself.
Expression	Below Basic -I need to make my voice or signs more clear. -I need to make my voice or signs more natural and interesting.	Basic -My voice or signs were clear most of the time. -Sometimes my voice or signs were a little awkward or flat.	Proficient -My voice or signs were clear and easy to understand. -I used a natural voice or signs. -Sometimes I added extra feeling.	Advanced -I changed my voice or my signs to match the feelings in the book. -I made the story very clear. -I made the story interesting!
