Student Skills & Work Completion: ViLes 
This rubric will be used to evaluate how a student works and participates during activities (work, class, meeting, assembly, etc.). I have purposely weighted each criteria this way as I believe this rubric will be fairer to the lower level students that are trying to participate rather than those that are largely unresponsive in class - Fair = 3 and Poor = 1

Victor was NOT PREPARED for class and participation.

Has no materials and even with intervention, is not prepared.
Needs Improvement

Victor had difficulty with being prepared.

With teacher intervention, Victor still struggles with locating his materials. Loses or misplaces work. Struggles with keeping desk and surrounding area clean and organized.
Average

Victor is SOMETIMES prepared for class.

He was capable of being prepared with required materials. Locating work is a struggle, but is showing improvement. Keeping desk and area clean is fair.
Above Average

Victor is MOSTLY prepared for class and participation.

Has most required materials. Can locate materials and assignments fairly quickly.
Superior

Victor is PREPARED for class and participation.

Has pencil, required books, materials and completed work. Can locate materials and assignments quickly.
Productivity/ Task Completion

Unsatisfactory

Victor struggled with focus and task completion. Task was NOT completed.

Even with full support, the task was not started or less than 1/4 completed.
Needs Improvement

Victor struggled with focus and task completion. He required many cues and redirection.

Teacher intervention is required for student to complete tasks.
Less than half of the task was completed
Average

Victor struggled with focus and task completion, but once he "gets going," work can sometimes be completed on time.

Teacher intervention is often needed, and with help, student will work hard. More than half of the task was completed.

Victor was MOSTLY on-task and works productively.

Victor remains organized which allows him to complete work on time. Rarely gets off task.

Victor is ON-TASK and works PRODUCTIVELY.


Victor remained focused and organized which allows student to complete work on time.

Victor did NOT listen. He struggled with listening when others were talking. Often off task.

Often requires teacher intervention for various reasons.

Above Average

MOST OF THE TIME Victor demonstrates responsibility and respect. He RARELY disrupts and distracts the learning of others.
Superior

Victor ALWAYS demonstrates responsibility and respect. He Does NOT disrupt or distract the learning of others.
