Mock Trial Rubric
	Exceeds the Standard 4 pts	Meets the Standard 3 pts	Approaching the Standard 2 pts	Far Below the Standard 1 pts
Active Involvement	Exceeds the Standard Student was constantly engaged in the trial. Student did not need reminders to stay on task.	Meets the Standard Student was often engaged in the trial. Student could participate more, but was on task most of the time.	Approaching the Standard Student was sometimes engaged in the trial. Student needed occasional reminders to get back on task.	Far Below the Standard Student was not involved with the trial. Student needed constant reminders to get back on task and/or was distracting to the class.
Performance	Exceeds the Standard Student performed their role during the trial in character and went above and beyond at doing their job in the courtroom.	Meets the Standard Student performed their role during the trial in character most of the time and met the requirements of their job in the courtroom.	Approaching the Standard Student performed their role in character inconsistently and sometimes did not meet the requirements of their job.	Far Below the Standard Student was never in character did not really do their job at all during the trial.
Work Product	Exceeds the Standard The result of the student's work was outstanding and exceptional.	Meets the Standard The result of the student's work was good.	Approaching the Standard The result of the student's work could have been better and worse.	Far Below the Standard The result of the student's work was in need of improvement all-around.
