Minimally Meets Expectations At least 2 characteristics indicate meaning but lack clarity.	Fully Meets Expectations At least 2 characteristics of letters creatively & effectively indicate meaning of the word.	Exceeds Expectations 3 or more characteristics of letters different and are used with great skill and creativity.
Presentation 10 pts Neatness, Accuracy, Effort	Unacceptable Incomplete artwork or does not cover entire paper and minimal effort is indicated due to lack of color and neatness of letters. Word is misspelled and meaning is unclear.	Minimally Meets Expectations Artwork follows most of the assignment instructions. Most of the word is colored. Word is spelled incorrectly, but readers can understand meaning. Student should have spent more time planning and creating this piece.	Fully Meets Expectations Artwork neatly follows all assignment instructions. Word is colored entirely. Word is spelled correctly. It is evident student spent time creating this piece.	Exceeds Expectations Artwork shows exceptional neatness. Entire word is completely colored & artwork on letters is very effective. Follows all assignment instructions. Word is spelled correctly. It is evident student spent exceptional time and effort "getting things just right".
