Wow Words Comic Strip

Students will write a six frame comic strip using their WOW words. Vocabulary words studied in class will be used in the story. Work will be neat and easily read. Students will share their comic strips with their group and their teacher teacher.

Got It Done Comic strip is complete. There may be a few minor mistakes, but it does not detract from understanding.	Comic Strip Pro... Comic strip is complete. The story line is told in a creative way and is easily understood by the reader.
Vocabulary words used correctly	Not Acceptable No vocabulary words used or all used with incorrect meaning.	Corrections Vocabulary words are used, but with incorrect meanings.	Got It Done All vocabulary words used with correct meanings. Words may appear to have little importance in the story line of the comic strip.	Comic Strip Pro... All vocabulary words used with correct meaning. Vocabulary words add to the story line of the comic strip in a creative way.
Story and Artwork Easy to Read	Not Acceptable Written work is messy and artwork is difficult to distinguish. Little effort is evident.	Corrections Either written work or artwork is done with little effort so as to distract the reader from the meaning.	Got It Done Written work and/or artwork shows some effort was put forth.
