iRubric: Literacy Autobiography rubric

Experiences are reflected on for their place in development. The focus is analysis & reflection, not just narration. Sensory images are employed masterfully.

Experiences are narrated and occasionally reflected upon. The focus switches back and forth from analysis to mere narration.

The paper has a weak narrative emphasis. The writer tells a story and only minimally reflects on development over time.

Writing has few or no errors in usage, spelling and punctuation. Sentence structure is varied. Overall, the writing reflects undergraduate student expectations.

Writing has a few errors in usage, spelling, and/or punctuation. Sentences may be complete but may not flow in readability. The writing is competent but needs to be stepped up to the college level.

Usage, spelling, and/or punctuation show serious problems and lack of proofreading. Sentences are simple and unvaried. Writing is not at an undergraduate level.
