Rubric for evaluating student presentations. This rubric will be used by student partners and teacher to evaluate how well the student demonstrates knowledge of the time period within the discussion of their original creations.

Student presents an overview of the topic and minimal inferences based on the information to demonstrate some study of the topic. Student refers to the time period, but give no real details.

Student presents interesting information with some meaningful inferences about the information presented. Student refers to the time period but only lists details learned in the research.
Advanced

Student presents engaging information in a synthesized manner to demonstrate personal thinking about the information. Inferences show deeper grasp of the topic. Student not only refers to the time period and historical aspects, but explains how they were important to the time period..

Students makes deep connections between original creation and researched time period; student's connections create a sense that the original creations belonged in or from the time period.
