Concept Map Rubric Concept Map Rubric The concept map must connect cultural or contextual aspects to their understanding of the novel in translation. The purpose of the concept map is to explore specific sections of the novel more deeply, with attention to detail. Students are encouraged to explore new avenues of interpretation for the purpose of this assignment. Creativity	Poor No animations or graphics used. Strictly a concept map of words.	Fair Limited amount of graphics used. Shows little creative spirit.	Good Decent amount of creativity expressed. Used good amount of graphics available through Inspiration.	Excellent Showed good amount of knowledge of all the resources available through Inspiration. Excellent usage of the animations and design.
Content	Poor Does not show any understanding of the project. Random thoughts. Incorrect Information.	Fair Shows a minor understanding of the chosen information of the Concept Map. Undeveloped Ideas.	Good Shows a decent amount of understanding of the main idea of the Concept Map. Developed Ideas, but not all the way.	Excellent Shows a strong understanding of the main idea of the project. Ideas are strong as well as clear.
Display	Poor Ideas show no fluidity with one another. Ideas do not follow any set structure. Does not show any prior planning.	Fair Ideas are not fully aligned but they seem somewhat fluid. Shows little use of previous outlining.	Good Ideas are structured in a way that makes it easy to understand. Shows prior planning.	Excellent Excellent fluidity of Concept Map. Good structure. Well thought out and shows prior planning.
Originality	Poor No new information provided. Project shows basic level knowledge. No outside research used.	Fair Few new ideas. Basic content.	Good Some information provided is original.
