APPEARANCE/PURPOSE -Appearance and Purpose of the Slides	Exceeds/Meets Standards The student's slides are clearly labeled with easy-to-read font; information on the slides is limited to important points; creative and relevant images and graphics enhance the audience's understanding of the topic as well as the visual appeal of the presentation.	Almost Meets Standards The presentation is somewhat organized and maybe a little ordinary; slides should have more variation in their design or the images/graphics that are included.	Falls Short of Standards The presentation lacked the necessary organization and creativity that was expected of this project.
CONVENTIONS -Works Cited -Proofreading	Exceeds/Meets Standards Documentation of required number of sources is flawless or nearly so; it's apparent the written portions were carefully proofread. PRESENTATION -Public Speaking Criteria	Exceeds/Meets Standards The student leads the audience smoothly through the presentation, using eye contact and inflection to enhance delivery of the information; vocal pauses (like, um, err, ahh, you know) are kept to a minimum.	Almost Meets Standards The student stumbles a bit through the presentation; the delivery lacks sufficient eye contact and/or inflection.	Falls Short of Standards It's apparent the student is very unprepared to speak in front of an audience.
