Adequate understanding of the 6 kingdoms. In-depth information that shows an adequate understanding of how the different characteristics of living things connect within the kingdoms, how they are similar and/or different. Categorization is correct within all of the kingdoms.

Extended understanding of the 6 Kingdoms. Student goes above and beyond to show how all of the kingdoms and their varying characteristics are similar, different and/or how they connect to one another. It is very clear that the student as an informed and cohesive understanding of how all of the kingdoms/characteristics are connected as well as their differences. Information provided extends beyond the scope of the course.

Project not completed. Does not demonstrate a sustained intellectual curiosity related to chosen project. Project not completed on time, shows poor planning and time management.

Project shows some intellectual curiosity related to chosen project. Use of unreliable sources may be present. Project may be somewhat incomplete or lack cohesive quality. Project may start strong and finish weak (rushed to completion).

Demonstrates a sustained intellectual curiosity related chosen project. Reliable use of sources apparent. Cohesive quality to overall project. Project maintains strong quality of effort throughout.

Excellent planning apparent. Student may have completed project early, without sacrificing quality. Quality over quantity is apparent throughout entire project. Very clear, cohesive quality from start to finish.
