Oliver's Turn-Taking Rubric 
During any activities that require turn-taking, the student will demonstrate the skills of participation, turn-taking, conversational exchanges, and maintaining personal space.

Poor

Student participated less than the 50% time marker and/or required more than 5 redirects to play (example: student who plays at 75% but requires 7 redirects is given a 1).
Fair

Student participated (played the game) for 50% or more of the time allotted (Q1=2.5 min, Q2= 5 min, Q3=7.5 min, Q4=10 min), but did not reach the 75% marker, with minimal redirects (>5).
Good

Student participated (played the game) for 75% or more of the time allotted (Q1=3.75 min, Q2=7.5 min, Q3=11.25 min, Q4=15 min), but not the full time, with minimal redirects (>5).
Excellent

Student participated (played the game) for the full time allotted (Q1=5 min, Q2=10 min, Q3=15 min, Q4=20 min), with minimal redirects (>5).
Taking Turns/Share

Poor

Student doe not take turns/share and/or wants to follow own rules. May quit the game.
Fair

Student attempts to take turns/share sporadically, but still resorts to own rules of engagement and/or quits the game.
Good

Student takes turns at least 75% of the game without quitting or dictating their own rules.
Excellent

Student always takes turns/shares and allows the rules to be dictated by the written or spoken agreement of the rules prior to beginning play, or listens to guidance from other players and staff.
Conversational Exchanges

Poor

Using script/prompts, student made 2 or less appropriate conversational exchanges when prompted at random times during the game.
Fair

Using script/prompts, student made 3 appropriate conversational exchanges when prompted at random times during the game.
Good

Using script/prompts, student made 4 appropriate conversational exchanges when prompted at random times during the game.
Excellent

Using script/prompts, student made 5 appropriate conversational exchanges when prompted at random times during the game.
Personal Space

Poor

With support, student does not maintain appropriate personal space and does not respond to re-direction. Game play may need to be ended.
Fair

With support, sometimes student does not maintain appropriate personal space and only responds to redirection occasionally or reluctantly. Game play may need to be ended.
Good

With support, usually student maintains appropriate personal space and usually follows re-directions.
Excellent

With support, student always maintains appropriate personal space.
