Descriptive Writing Rubric with Figurative Language
Students will write a short story with characters, setting, and plot. This will be created using a picture book format. They are to revise the story and include examples of explanatory and descriptive vocabulary to enhance the writing. Writing will be graded on capitalization, punctuation, use of story elements, spelling, and grammar usage.
