Student- Instructed Vocabulary Project Student- Instructed Vocabulary Project Vocabulary Builder: Students will create a presentation defining and illustrating content specific vocabulary words. Students will also use the new vocabulary in context appropriate sentences, provide images that describe the word and/or provide some form of written expression for presentation to the class. Meets Expectations Vocabulary words are used and all are spelled correctly at least one time.	Exemplary The vocabulary words are listed, defined and spelled correctly on ALL examples more than once.
Vocabulary Definition	Does not meet standards Many of the words are not used correctly.	Needs Improvement One to two words are not used correctly in context.	Meets Expectations All words are used correctly in context at least once.	Exemplary Several examples are given using the words correctly in context.
Oral Presentation/Pronunciation	Does not meet standards Most or all words are mis-pronounced and incompletely read. Communication is seriously impeded by pronunciation, enunciation and/or volume.	Needs Improvement Some words are mis-pronounced. Sentences are not very clear. Communication is hindered by pronunciation, enunciation and/or volume.
