	Meets the Standard 3 pts	Partially Meets 2 pts	Does Not Meet 1 pts
Thinking Stem Read Aloud	Meets the Standard Uses a questioning thinking stem related to the text before, during and after reading.	Partially Meets Uses a questioning thinking stem that is irrelevant to the text; uses a questioning thinking stem 2 out of 3 times.	Does Not Meet Has difficulty creating a question; uses a questioning thinking stem 1 out of 3 times.
QAR strategy Read Aloud DOGOnews Wild Side Passage	Meets the Standard Asks questions that are both literal (in the text) and inferential (in your head). Creates questions that are right there, think and search, author and you, and on my own.	Partially Meets Asks questions that may be literal and/or inferential, but has difficulty identifying the type of question.	Does Not Meet Has difficulty asking literal or inferential questions relating to the text.
