Evolution Story

Students are to create their own species and tell its evolutionary story. Students will need to apply what they know about natural selection and adaptations in order to do well on this project. Students need to include history of the animal ex: where it was discovered, when, and by who. Students should include physical traits of the animal as well as a picture.

Had few examples and displayed that there was satisfactory understanding.	Good No question that the student understands all concepts. Provided excellent examples and applied material learned in class to the project.
Components	Poor Pamphlet includes one or two of the required components and shows little to no effort.	Fair Pamphlet contains most components and shows satisfactory effort.	Good All components are present and maximum effort was put into the creation.
Grammar	Poor Many grammatical errors and spelling errors.	Fair Very few grammatical errors and spelling errors.	Good No errors.
Creativity	Poor Student used very little creativity in the creation of their pamphlet.	Fair Evident that student spent a fair amount of time on the project and thought about the creation of the pamphlet.	Good Maximum effort is present and student put much time in the creation of the pamphlet.
