The speaker makes a number of lexical and grammatical errors.

The speaker has difficulty expressing themselves in anything other than short sentences. There are frequent hesitations or pauses while the speaker searches for the language they need to express themselves.

Excellent

Oral performance is natural and fluent.
Good

Performance is fairly fluent.
Fair

There is a degree of fluency, but the speaker stops often to process what they are going to say next. Speaker hesitates in repeated ocassions.
Poor

Performance is stilted and faltering. Interruptions difficult the understanding of the oral presentation.
Pronunciation

Excellent

The speaker articulates sounds clearly and correctly, and speaks with the appropriate word stress and intonation. The listener has no problems understanding what is being said. There are probably features of an accent, but they do not detract from understanding.
Good

There is some influence of the first language on the speaker's articulation of sounds. Overall, this does not detract from what the speaker is saying and poses no comprehension problems.
Fair

At times the listener has to work hard to understand what is being said.
Poor

Pronunciation of words, word stress and/or intonation is so strongly influenced by the first language that the listener has frequent problems recognizing what the speaker is trying to say.
Content

Excellent

The speaker brings in everyday examples, memorable stories, or anecdotes to make the content more relevant or interesting to the listener.
Good

The speaker brings in relevant content to make the content interesting to the listener.
Fair

The content is fairly predictable and expected - the listener may be fairly interested, but is left feeling the speaker could have included more interesting subject matter.
Poor

Content is completely unrelated to the topic.
Poster

Excellent

Poster created shows the interest in the topic. Effort is observable and it is visually appealing, containing relevant information of the topic.
Good

Poster is appealing and contains relevant information.
Fair

Poster is acceptable but is missing relevant information.
Poor

Poster is not presented or is completely unrelated to the topic. Shows little to no effort and does not contain any information.
