Create a Fantasy 
This rubric will assist in assessing a final project in which students create a fantasy land. The students will outline and design a visual project that incorporates the elements of traditional fantasy. They are then to complete a final presentation which will include a map and written work about their imaginary place. In addition, they will be presenting this orally to the class.

The student wrote a paragraph with detail and summarized the final product clearly. The student wrote in complete sentences with detail. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are near perfect.
Excellent

The student wrote a paragraph with some summarization but needed more detail. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are near perfect.
Good

The student wrote incomplete sentences and the editing features were not observed. Follow directions?
Poor

Inaccurate information and incomplete sentences were provided with no editing.
Oral Presentation

Eye contact, voice projection, and conduct during presentation.

Superior

Student showed understanding of the book, and was a dynamic presenter, making eye-contact to his/her classmates. Voice was easily heard.
Excellent

Student demonstrated understanding of the reading, and presented to the class in an effective manner.
Good

Student did not demonstrate their understanding in an effective manner, and had trouble presenting to the class.
Poor

Student demonstrated some understanding of the reading, but had some trouble displaying their knowledge to the class.
