Good Map key colors are not identical to those on the map, but are similar.	Missing Objective Map key is not done according to directions. The colors do not match the correct labels, or the map colors do not represent those shown on the key. A label is not added for occupied countries.
Color Coding	Excellent All countries are color-coded correctly according to the map key and occupation list. No land masses are colored blue. ONLY Africa, Greenland and unlisted countries are left white.	Good One or two countries are color-coded incorrectly, OR land masses are colored blue, OR water is colored as land.	Missing Objective 3+ countries are colored incorrectly. Many land masses are blue. Water is colored as land more than one time. Many areas are left white.

Title and Student Name	Excellent The title is descriptive, legible, and spelled correctly. The student's name is on their work.	Good The map is missing a title or the student's name. There is a spelling mistake, or the title is difficult to read.	Missing Objective The work was submitted with no name and no title. OR The name and title are both illegible.
