Through improvisation students present performances based on a chosen synopsis of a fairytale

For your final project in music history, you will create a Pinterest board that represents the knowledge that you have gained this semester. You will create one board with four sections within it representing the four eras of music history that we studied. Each section should include 10 pins.

Students will debate the careers of Webber and Sondheim

You will be responsible for creating a marketing plan for the musical Into the Woods. Study the script and synopsis on Google Classroom, then create a PowerPoint presentation to outline your plan as if you were going to use it to present to the creative team.

Students will interpret a scene or play, construct their vision in accordance with the play's design and factor in the integrity of the playwright's intent by describing their vision for blocking, props, and set pieces. Students will use appropriate technical theater terminology as discussed in class during Unit 1.

Students will create, in groups of 5, a storyboard depicting their assigned Colonial balla using Storyboard That. They will outline the events in the story and include important information about how the tune is performed.

Students will research how the four types of Native American instruments and create a Google Slides presentation of their found information. Students will design and build a musical instrument from Native American culture. Students will be required to present their research and their final instrument.

Students will create a powerpoint to discuss one of three shows inspired by Rodgers and Hammerstein in the 1940's. The powerpoint will contain information relevant to the musical including production information and show synopsis. The poster should address the following questions: - What theater did it run in? - When? - Who starred? - Who produced? - Who wrote it? - What is the story?

Students will work in groups based on their composer's nationalities to create an outline of each country's national style in relation to Opera. They will then take their notes and share them with other groups.

Students will create, in groups of 2, a storyboard depicting their assigned musical using Storyboard That. They will outline the plot and include important production information

Students are performing a monologue for auditions. They will go through the entire process of auditioning for an assigned show. Students should have completed a Monologue Assessment packet.

Students will perform scenes paying particular attention to emotional expression and body language

Through improvisation students present performances based on a chosen human interest story from which they developed characters using techniques discussed in class.
