In this assignment, students will work individually to research and present material on a specific Psychological Disorders. Each person will be presenting their material as if they are attending an APA (American Psychology Association) seminar.

Students are to choose a social issue and create a public service announcement. In the PSA students are to raise awareness for the issue by briefly describing the issue, providing relevant and accurate facts, and encouraging viewers to take positive action concerning the issue and finally provide resources for the audience.

Students will create a public service announcement to educate, persuade,and provide resources, to either: young children or teens, that addresses challenges for the specific population (example: bullying, eating disorders, peer pressure, etc)

The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum of 3 countries for 2-5 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a travel diary about their country and then present a brief 10-15 minute presentation to their classmates to go with their research.

The students are to choose an area of psychology that fits or matches their interests and create a flyer.

Create a flyer or brochure describing what anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa is, signs and symptoms or the illness, psychological, social and biological effects of either of these illnesses, where to access assistance, and long term prognosis

Students are to choose a global issue learned in class (or another issue not discussed in class provided they can successfully discuss it) and create a public service announcement script. The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packet' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum of 3 countries for 2-5 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. Visit your students’ presentation and rate your student according to the rubric below. You must be able to justify your score. Feel free to ask questions for any area that is not clear on the display. This will allow the student to clarify their knowledge of their topic.

Students are to design and produce the front page of their own newspaper. Each student will produce an A3 size newspaper front page. Students will incorporate the major elements into their version of what a ewspaper should be, and the major components of a front page.

Create a brochure about the psychological disorder you have chosen. Read rubric carefully; include all components in your brochure.

Brochure to summarize abnormal psych learning. Students will pick one psych disorder and include general information, causes, symptoms, treatment, etc.

GLOBAL PORTFOLIO- STUDENTS ARE TO CREATE A GLOBAL PORTFOILO ASSESSING THE STABILITY OF EACH COUNTRY ASSIGNED FROM CLASS.

Students were to choose an art medium of their choice (song, poem, visual art, etc.) addressing a global issue of interest to them. Write a one page analysis including: interpret the medium - what is the purpose? how does the medium convey the message? how successful is this medium in achieving its goals? Creator of the medium: Who created it? What perspective does it convey? Why did the author present this perspective? Personal reflection: Why did you choose this piece? Did the analysis change your perspective?
