Reflections allow students the opportunity to think about their experiences and "get the learning out" of these experiences. Reflections are an important part of the feedback loop between the student and their teacher. Therefore, sharing the learning with the teacher in a timely manner, allows the teacher to offer formative guidance through timely responses to the reflection, which increases student learning.

This rubric measures the students ability to conduct a grievance interview; write grievances; present advocacy arguments; analyze arbitration cases; prepare an opening statement and develop direct examination questions for an arbitration hearing.

Each student will define the issue or problem that will be negotiated, identify the interests leading to the need to negotiate the issue, prepare and present proposals, identify potential leverage tools that will influence bargaining, and practice effective communication when engaging in the simulation.
