SPEECH PRESENTATION

You will create a glossary that will contain words or new words that you will see during this course. The purpose of the glossary is that you enrich your lexicon with vocabulary seen in this class and reading that you will be exploring during this time.

Choose a specific, dead or alive, person or animal to write a poem about. Write your poem using English language. Explain what was the inspiration for you to write this poem. Your poem should have at leat 3 stanzas. Have a consistent rhyme scheme throughout the poem. Type your poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. On the border around the poem, create symbols that represent your poem.

Students will have to develop vocabulary and questions through a short exposition about types of buildings. This presentation will be develop in the classroom.

Write a Personal Narrative Essay about an memorable moment from your life. Describe your event in sequential order. Include your viewpoint and persoanl reactions in your personal narrative such dialogue, emotions, and sensory details. Your personal narrative should be at least three paragraphs essay -Intro, Body, and Conslusion. Skill strong lead or hook sentence.

Students will selecting an animal (bird or mammal) and research the unique characteristics about this animal. Students will writing about their animal, and design a presentation to aid them when sharing the traits of their animal. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, what special adaptations allow the animal to survive in it's native habitat, and why they choose the animal. Students should be prepared to answer questions about their animal from their peers.
