Art 6 Agamograph Rubric

A rubric that evaluates a general art sketches. It measures the various skills in creating visual elements of design and using the principles of design.

Learning Objective: -Identify and explain the patterns. -Identify the basic components of a woven object. -Understand and apply various weaving patterns. -Apply the principles of color and design to weaving.

After learning about additive sculpture, they will create a wire armature that shows some sort of human movent. The armature will be secured into a base with plaster of paris, then students will add both strip and clay mache to create their sculpture. Finally, the sculpture and will be painted, then augmented with a plaque that names the piece.

Students will create a landscape drawing based upon a Christmas work of art. Students will create a foreground, middle ground, and background using line techniques.

Students will create a poster that illustrates the art elements.

After learning about additive sculpture, they will create a wire armature that shows some sort of human movent. Learning Objective: Students work to complete a detailed 3D sculpture using wire . Students use hand sign language symbol drawings to help plan out the sculpture's details as well as their knowledge of proportions.

Students design and produce wearable clothing from a minimum of three recycled, reused or repurposed items using an obvious theme. The final presentation will be a "fashion" show with student write-ups describing their clothing, theme and their recyclables. Clothing must include: a hat, shoes, a top and a bottom (pants or skirt) or dress and an accessory item, such as belt, jewelry, gloves, leg warmers, glasses, etc. Items must hang on a hanger and be removable by the wearer.

Learning Objective: Students work to complete a Contour line 3D sculpture by using wire.They use hand sign language symbol contour line drawings to help plan out the sculpture's details as well as their knowledge of proportions. Skills: The students will develop skills in sculpture and learn that sculpture can be made in a variety of ways.They will develop observation skills while creating contour line drawings.
