Projects for To Kill a Mockingbird

In this activity students research the life of a Hispanic American, Central American, Latin American, South American or Spaniard who has excelled in his or her career field and present a profile of that person to the class. Situation- Imagine you have just been hired as a journalist for a national magazine. Your first assignment is to write a profile of a well known Hispanic American, Central American, Latin American, South American, or Spaniard.

The purpose of this project is to research a Spanish-speaking country. You will be able to present facts about the country’s culture, government, geography, history, etc. After your research, you will develop a Power Point presentation about your country.

The students create a brochure about famous ghost attractions in our area. The brochure will contain information about the ghost story(ies) they researched for their informative essay.

The students will work on their own to put together a power point. This will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student.
