Spacing and Letter Formation	Excellent Writer has correct space between all words and formed all letters correctly.	Good Writer did not put space between 1 or 2 of the words and/or did not form 1 or 2 letters correctly.	Fair Writer did not put space between 3 or 4 words and/or did not form 3 or 4 letters correctly.	Poor Writer did not put space between 5 or more words and/or did not form 5 or more letters correctly.
Punctuation Rules	Excellent Writer makes no mistakes.	Good Writer makes 1 or 2 errors in punctuation marks.	Fair Writer makes 3 or 4 errors in punctuation marks.	Poor Writer shows no understanding of using punctuation marks or used none in their sentences.
Capitalization rules First word in a sentence, proper nouns and the word I	Excellent Writer capitalized all words.	Good Writers makes 1 or 2 errors in capitalizing.	Fair Writers makes 3 or 4 errors in capitalizing.	Poor Writer did not capitalze any of the words.
