To start a conversation	Needs Practice/ With assistance 1. Needs more than 1 prompt to initiate a conversation. 2. Looks at the person once while he is talking.	Good/Often 1.With 2 prompts, initiates conversation with a greeting or question. 2. Looks at the person during half of the conversation.	Majority 1.With 1 prompt, initiates conversation with a greeting or question. 2. Looks at the person during half of the conversation.	Skilled/Independent 1. Independently, initiates a conversation with a greeting or question. 2. Looks at the person he is talking to the entire time.
